Robby Donoho's Biography
Robby's Video BioMy WCBI Farewell |
Welcome!
My name is Robby Donoho and I've spent over a decade devoting my career towards the world of sports, journalism and broadcasting. After spending seven years as the sports director, anchor and reporter at WCBI-TV in Columbus, Mississippi, I set out to forge a new career path. I learned rather quickly towards the end of my time at WCBI that I loved covering high school sports and being around our incredible athletes, coaches and fans in local sports. It was during that time that I also discovered how much I enjoyed talking to prospective journalism students. So it hit me: If I could find a way to teach and still scratch that sports itch of mine, I would be in dreamland. Sure enough, I was fortunate to become a certified English teacher in Mississippi and begin my education career at Louisville High School in Louisville, Mississippi. Over the past two years, I've overseen the launch of a "first of its kind" multimedia outlet for Louisville High School called *PowerCats TV*. Through PCTV, I've created content, features, shows and student-led projects that have viewed and generated over 500,000+ interactions through social media and YouTube. My goal as an educator and still aspiring broadcaster is to continue to inspire and cultivate the next great generation of journalists and citizens of our society. I've been very fortunate through my 30+ years on this earth to have experienced and covered some incredible events through sports and news and I'm incredibly blessed to continue to love what I do for a living. Thank you for visiting and touring my website! Sincerely, |
